Small towns are fertile grounds for creativity. Where there are no big discrtations, things to do or places to go, procrastination, when it’s well explored, turns out to be art. And that was how Maria was born. Legend has it that he, as a teen, missed his classes in order to produce music. Then, he started exploring the hip hop scene - from Detroit to Bristol - working to buy his own records.

Perhaps, it was also there that - even without being aware of it - he began to became the master of sampling we know nowadays. Sampling, of course, but also finding who-sampled-whom, compiling his discoveries. At some point, his journey turned to electronics, with synthesizers and heavy machinery that led him to create several projects and alter-egos, but which, in a certain way, caused the universe to bring him to us.

With an out-of-this-world sensibility, he transposes his aesthetic sense and organization into his productions. As an example, we have Cor & Forma EP, and his contributions to ROXO or Beat Camp. Sometimes it’s very difficult to guess what’s in your mind, because he’s always in a constant contemplation state, searching for new ideas.
